Sessions are run independently of each other - you can sign up for one, the other, or both!
Please only buy a ticket if you plan to participate in the event. If you're just trying to secure a retro-frame Dragon's Hoard promo card, you may do so by purchasing the required item(s) in-store while the event is taking place - no event ticket required. Let's leave the tickets for our students!
If you haven't already, please download and set up the Magic: The Gathering Companion app with your Wizards account prior to your arrival - we'll get playing that much faster!
Thursday, May 15 - How to Play Magic: The Gathering
Ready to take the plunge? Learn the basics of Magic: The Gathering gameplay with one of our in-house Magic judges, Ry.
Every participant will receive:
- A pair of Welcome Decks to learn the basics
- A learn-to-play brochure
- A pocket reference card
- MTG Tarkir: Dragonstorm sticker sheet
- And some other goodies!

Thursday, May 29 - How to Build a Magic Deck
Buying a pre-built deck is a great way to get started, but what if you're ready to try building your own? Whether you're building a Commander deck to crush your friends or are drafting a deck on the spot, learn some key deckbuilding tips and tricks with Ry!
