The new standalone game in the Forest Shuffle universe!
The gameplay mechanics remain unchanged: you collect two cards (beautifully illustrated, by the way) or play one card into your moorland landscape. Players compete to gather the most valuable trees, shrubs, and terrain cards-to attract species, thus creating an ecologically balanced habitat for flora and fauna.
A new card type is introduced with terrain: this allows for a variety of terrain cards (unlike trees and shrubs) which are played horizontally.
Forest Shuffle: Dartmoor offers several changes:
- A new card type is introduced with terrain: this allows for more variety.
- Terrain cards (unlike trees and shrubs) are played horizontally. They clearly serve as a means of subsistence or feeding ground for a different type of species than trees or shrubs.
- New species with very unique abilities and bonus actions
- Caves come with asymmetrical starting conditions and are drawn at the beginning.
- A reduction to 6 (instead of 8) tree symbols to activate bonuses more easily.
