Lorcana events in Vancouver are held 6:00 - 9:00 pm on Fridays - please choose your preferred date and play format in the dropdown above!
We start our events on time. Please make every effort to be at the store, ready to play on time. If you are running late, please call us to let us know. Players who are excessively late may be dropped from the event without refund.
If you are unable to attend an event, Rain City Games reserves the right to charge a $10 credit card processing fee when refunding your ticket. Please only purchase an event ticket if you actually plan on attending the event!
Booster Draft
Ready for a challenge? Explore unique combinations and make your own decks in our booster draft events!
In a Booster Draft, each player receives 4 Lorcana Booster Packs, opens them up one by one, and drafts the cards inside with the whole table. Players will then select 40 of their 48 cards to make a deck and ignore all standard structure rules - making for some interesting combos you won't find anywhere else!
Event ticket includes:
- Admission to the event for one player
- Four booster packs for each player
- Event prizing (details below)
The Lorcana Booster Draft is a great way to build your collection and try out cards from the full range of ink colours Lorcana has to offer.
Prizing
Because we offer a fairly casual environment at Rain City Games, all players will receive prizing in random order - not based on standings.
Players will each receive:
- 2 Lorcana booster packs
- 1 Lorcana promo card exclusive to organized play events (while supplies last)
- 1 additional prize
Additional prizing may include more Lorcana promo cards, promo items, and other whosits and whatsits galore!
Players who sign up at least 3 hours before the event starts will also be eligible for the random Early Bird Prize.
Sealed Event
Sealed events are very similar to Booster Drafts, except that you won't pass any of the cards you open. Each player receives 6 Lorcana booster packs, keeps all the cards inside, and selects 40 cards to make a deck. As in booster drafts, you can ignore all the usual deck restrictions like limits on ink colour and copies of the same card.
Event ticket includes:

- Six booster packs for each player
- Event prizing (details below)

Set Championship
Our Attack of the Vine! Set Championship is open for registration! If you climb your way to the top, you’ll head home with not only bragging rights, but enviable prizes featuring Rapunzel – Escaping the Tower. These events are a fun way to challenge other Illumineers and better your own skills. As always, give your best effort, treat others with respect, and have fun!
Details
The tournament takes place on Sunday, September 13 at 11:30 AM. Please plan to arrive sometime between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM to check in. Late arrivals may be dropped from the tournament without notice or refund.
This is a long tournament. The first phase of swiss rounds is expected to take approximately 4 hours. The top cut phase is expected to take approximately 2 hours. Please plan accordingly!
Registration
Registration is $25.
Format
The tournament is constructed, so please bring a legal deck (details below). We will play 3 swiss paired rounds with no top cut.
Swiss paired rounds will be best of 3 in 55-minute rounds. Games in the single elimination top cut will be best of 3 in 70-minute rounds until the final pairing, which will be untimed. All games will be played as 1-vs-1.
Prizes
At the end of the 4th swiss round, all participants will receive 1 booster pack and a promo card (selection TBD).
The top 4 finalists will receive additional booster packs based on their final standings.
The overall winner will receive an exclusive If I Didn't Have You Champion playmat. The top 8 finishers will receive foil alternate art Rapunzel – Escaping the Tower promo cards. All participants will receive nonfoil alternate art Rapunzel – Escaping the Tower promo cards.
Deck legality
This tournament is in the Constructed (Core) format. Each player must bring one deck to the event which they have built ahead of time. Constructed decks must contain at least 60 cards. There is no maximum deck size, but a player must be able to shuffle their deck in a timely manner without assistance.
Constructed decks must not contain cards from more than two ink colors. For example, if a deck contains Amber and Amethyst cards, it must not contain any Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, or Steel cards.
Constructed decks must not contain more than four of a single card as identified by its full English card name. Character cards with different subtitles are considered different cards for purposes of this rule. For example, a deck may contain up to four copies of Ariel – On Human Legs as well as up to four copies of Ariel – Spectacular Singer.
Only cards in the standard rotation are legal for play in this tournament.
Decklist registration will be required for this event. You may submit your decklist via email to hello@raincity.games, or you can bring in a paper copy. Blank registration forms will also be available on the day of the event; please arrive early if you need to fill one out.
[Format Coconut]
We are running our first [Format Coconut] event on Friday, 18 September! If you enjoy this event and want to see more of them, please let the staff know so we can schedule more.
[Format Coconut] is a thematic multiplayer format for Lorcana. You play in a group, with each deck built around a favourite character!

- Entry: $12
- Rounds: as many as you can fit in the time!
- Prizing: each player will receive 1 random Lorcana pack. We may also throw in some Lorcana promos!
Decks
You must bring your own deck, which should be built around a specific [Coconut] card. You can view the list of potential [Coconut] cards here.
Your deck should have:
- At least 60 cards
- Up to three ink types, one of which is the same as your [Coconut] card's ink type
- Up to 4 copies of the [Coconut] card
- No more than 1 copy of any other card
Gameplay
You will play in multiplayer pods of up to 4 players. The normal multiplayer rules apply except that the winner is the first player to reach 25 or more lore.
