The Catan National Qualifier is here, offering experienced Catan players a path to the 2025 Canadian National Championship—and beyond, to the 2025 Catan World Championship!

This isn’t just any game night—it’s your chance to rise through the ranks and achieve Catan greatness. Compete against other skilled players in a battle of wit and strategy, as you vie for the honor of representing Canada on an international stage.

Tournament Structure

All games will be in groups of 4, playing the classic Catan game with no modifications.

Preliminary Round: Every participant will play 3 games in a round robin tournament.
Single-Elimination Semifinal: Based on standings, the top 16 players will advance to this single elimination round.
Final Round: The ultimate showdown! The top 4 will compete head-to-head for the coveted seat at the 2025 Canadian National Championship.

Eligibility

All participants must be Canadian Citizens/Permanent Residents and be 18+ years of age by the date of CATAN Nationals. Winners of 2024-2025 season Qualifier Tournaments are not allowed to play in additional Qualifier events leading up to the 2025 National Championship.
