In Caverna, you play the elder of a small clan of dwarves living in a cave. You cultivate the surrounding land and delve deep into the mountain rock. You build dwellings in the caves to expand your clan, as well as workspaces to perform various tasks. It's up to you to decide how much ore you want to extract. You need it to forge weapons. These weapons will allow you to go on expeditions and thus obtain additional items and actions. As you dig into your mountain, you will sometimes discover underground lakes and mines of ore or rubies that will help you become wealthy. Just outside the entrance to your cave, you can further increase your fortune through agriculture: clear the forest to create fields for your crops and pastures for your animals. The player who has developed their board most wisely will be the winner at the end of the game.
