The new standalone game in the Forest Shuffle universe!
The gameplay mechanics remain unchanged: you collect two cards (beautifully illustrated, by the way) or play one card into your moorland landscape. Players compete to gather the most valuable trees, shrubs, and terrain cards—to attract species, thus creating an ecologically balanced habitat for flora and fauna.
A new card type is introduced with terrain: this allows for a variety of terrain cards (unlike trees and shrubs) which are played horizontally.
Forest Shuffle: Dartmoor offers several changes:
• A new card type is introduced with terrain: this allows for more variety.
• Terrain cards (unlike trees and shrubs) are played horizontally. They clearly serve as a means of subsistence or feeding ground for a different type of species than trees or shrubs.
• New species with very unique abilities and bonus actions
• Caves come with asymmetrical starting conditions and are drawn at the beginning.
• A reduction to 6 (instead of 8) tree symbols to activate bonuses more easily.
