Game Overview
Setup
Place the board in the center of the table. Each player chooses a color (light or dark wooden stars) and takes the 7 matching stars. The last player to have observed the stars starts the game.
Turn Sequence
On your turn, you may perform one of the following actions:
- Place a star: Place one of your stars on any empty space on the board.
- Move one of your stars:
- Slide one of your stars along a straight line (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal).
- A move may:
Push another star if the next space in line is empty
Push a star off the board, returning it to its owner, who may play it again later
Restrictions:
- You may not push more than one star at a time
- You may not undo the previous move by playing its exact reverse
End of the Game
The game ends as soon as a player forms a perfect square using 4 of their stars connected by straight lines. If a player unintentionally creates a square for their opponent, the opponent immediately wins. If both players form a square at the same time, victory goes to the opponent.
